Instructions for Cleaning Corian ® countertops
DuPont ™ Corian ® solid surface is designed to require a simple care. Simply instructions on how to clean Corian® described below, so that their surfaces are kept fresh and radiant for many years.
How Clean Corian ® Basics:
Start with common household cleaners
For most of the waste, all you need to clean the decks Corian ® is warm, soapy water, a household cleaner with ammonia or a specialized cleaner cover, for example Clean EnCounters®. Avoid using window cleaners because they may leave a layer of wax opaque surface.
Darker colors tend to require more attention than lighter colors. Over time, the cover will acquire a patina, even with proper care. Dark colors may show slight scratches faster. But do not worry, restore their decks and give them their glorious original appearance is a simple process.
Avoid heat damage
While Corian ® solid surface is heat resistant, it is important to reduce direct exposure to heat, as with any other material cover to protect the surface and investment.
Important: Do not place pots, pans or other hot objects directly on the cover.
Always wear protective bases or platforms when placing hot objects on the surface. Always use a protective plate under heat generating devices, such as electric ovens. Let the cookware cool before putting on a Corian ® sink.
Avoid other damages
In most cases, DuPont ™ Corian ® surfaces can be repaired if damaged. Be sure to follow these instructions to help prevent permanent damage to your Corian ® cover.
Avoid applying aggressive chemicals such as paint thinners, oven cleaners, etc., on the surface of Corian ®. If a spill, immediately rinse the area with water product to completely remove the chemical. Do not cut anything directly on the Corian ® covers. Use a cutting board.
Boiling water will not damage your Corian ® sink. However, it is recommended to turn on cold water when pouring boiling water into the sink.
